Are you stressed about all the weight you gained over the holidays?

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the thought of one more diet?

Can’t say I blame you. Diets are awful. They leave you feeling listless, cranky, hungry and deprived. Is there any wonder why you quit long before you reach your goal?

Most people blame their lack of success on not having enough willpower.

If you are counting on willpower alone to get you to your goal weight, you’ve lost the battle before you’ve even begun.

We all start the day with a limited supply of willpower. It’s usually spent by the end of the day when most people begin their out-of-control eating. You may be able to white-knuckle your way through a couple of tough nights but eventually you are going to cave. That’s when all hell breaks loose and you feel like a failure once again.

Isn’t it time you stop doing that to yourself?

The simple truth is diets don’t work- never did, never will. Counting calories isn’t going to get you to where you want to be either.

Your body craves nutrients not calories. Eat the nourishing foods your body loves, and you will never have to diet again. Your body will reward you with increased energy, glowing skin, clear, focused thinking, deep restful sleep and a naturally slender body.

Sounds like it should be easy, but there’s lots of confusion these days about which foods actually are “healthy.” That answer is a little different for everyone but there are some truths you need to be aware of.

Things have changed a lot in the past 50 years. There are many foods we call by the same name as we did back then, but the makeup of that food (the way we grow it, process it and eat it) has changed dramatically. Wheat is a great example of that. The seeds are hybridized, grown in depleted soil and then sprayed with synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. It is then sent to mills where the portions of the wheat kernel that are richest in proteins, vitamins and minerals are removed.

The changes haven’t been beneficial and as a result, our gut health is not as good as it was generations ago. The combination of those 2 factors means your body could be reacting poorly to certain “healthy” foods.

One side effect could be persistent weight gain and pounds you simply cannot lose.

The simplest and least expensive way of determining how certain foods are affecting your health and body size is to do an elimination diet. Removing the biggest offenders (gluten, dairy, soy, sugar, chemicals and highly processed foods) from your diet for a minimum of 2 weeks can bring about changes that are nothing short of miraculous.

I have seen weight come off without hunger, body aches and pains and acid reflux disappear, blood pressure and high blood sugar return to normal, cholesterol levels drop by as much as 100 points, and restful sleep restored.

As life changing as all that is, it isn’t the best part.

Clients report the change that surprised and delighted them the most was the sense of calm they experienced when they removed the problem foods and replaced them with delicious, nutrient dense foods their body loved. They were amazed to discover they were handling things at work that use to put them over the edge, they were more patient with their children and they were better partners with their loved ones.

A pretty cool side effect don’t you think?
