Restaurant Review: Sweet Basil’s Café, Livingston,NJ
Did you miss dinner with our August Kitchen Table Wisdom group last night? If so – you will really want to read this!
Two Thumbs Up for Sweet Basil’s Café in Livingston! Here’s why:
We were able to secure a reservation and they were most accommodating when I had to change that twice!
The staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. I spoke to several different staff members and they were delightful. Each one said they just wanted us to enjoy dining out with our friends. Eating well and having fun seems to be a priority and they supported it well.
Everyone really liked the menu selections. There was a separate gluten free menu. Our server made a point of telling us that we could “mix and match” items and special order any way that we needed. Ordering was easy and pleasant.
Here are some of the dishes (delicious and presented beautifully) we chose :
Heart Healthy Salmon with assorted roasted veggies.
Pistachio Crusted Salmon with Vegetable Risotto
Short Ribs with Mashed Potatoes and Veggies.
Arugula and Beet Salad
Rack of Ribs with French Fries
The atmosphere was pleasant, fun and lively. No problem with noise level. We were able to carry on conversations comfortably.
The food was super, the service was excellent and the menu options were great. That was agreed unanimously. We all said we would visit this restaurant again, be happy to recommend it and bring friends along.
You’re going to want to join us on Tuesday, September 12th at Gourmet Cafe in Parsippany!
