28 Day Elimination and Reintroduction Program

The 28 Day Elimination and Detoxification Program is a structured, short‑term reset designed to help you identify which foods support your health and which ones quietly keep your symptoms going. Over four weeks, we methodically remove common triggers, support your body with nourishing foods, and then reintroduce foods in a clear, organized way so you can see exactly how your body responds.

This program is appropriate for men and women living with symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, stubborn weight, digestive issues, skin problems, or joint pain who are ready for a guided, evidence‑informed approach rather than guesswork. It is written as a low‑carbohydrate elimination plan, and I make adjustments for age, health history, and a vegan lifestyle when needed.

How the 28 Days Work

An elimination diet can help reveal whether certain foods are contributing to symptoms such as bloating, fatigue, headaches, brain fog, skin concerns, or joint discomfort. These symptoms are common, but they are not normal, and when they are overlooked, they can lead to much bigger problems in the future. Because food sensitivity symptoms are often not primarily digestive, identifying the true source on your own can be especially challenging. In many cases, there are multiple triggers involved, so eliminating only one food at a time may not create enough relief to clearly recognize the pattern.

This program is designed for individuals who feel that something is off but have not been able to pinpoint why. It offers a structured, personalized approach to identifying triggers, reducing symptoms, and developing a deeper understanding of your body. For many people, the most meaningful part of the process is finally experiencing what it’s like to feel normal again — clear-headed, comfortable, and energized. That experience can be deeply motivating and can help you move forward with greater confidence while creating a sustainable way of eating that supports your long-term health.

Week 1 – Preparation

During the first week, you begin to reduce the foods that will be fully eliminated in Weeks 2 and 3. This gentle “step‑down” approach makes the transition smoother and allows us to address practical details such as shopping, meal planning, and routines before you are in the full elimination phase.

Weeks 2 & 3 – Elimination Phase

For two weeks, you follow a clearly outlined elimination plan that removes the most common dietary triggers for inflammation and symptoms. The list includes:

  • Alcohol
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Corn
  • Caffeine (with an allowance of one cup daily when needed to prevent migraines)
  • Dairy
  • Eggs
  • Peanuts
  • Soy
  • Sugar
  • All grains

If appropriate for you, we can include carefully selected gluten‑free grains, so the plan remains both effective and sustainable. This phase allows your system a chance to quiet down so we can observe what changes occur when these foods are out of the way.

Week 4 – Reintroduction and Personalization

In the final week, we begin a structured reintroduction process. You add back one food at a time and pay close attention to how your body responds—energy, digestion, mood, sleep, skin, and other symptoms. This stepwise approach gives you clear, individualized information about which foods are well‑tolerated and which are best minimized or avoided.

If you have had food sensitivity or immune response testing, we can use Week 4 to review your lab results together instead of running a full food challenge. In that case, we create a forward‑looking food plan based on objective immune responses and your lived experience.

What’s Included

This is a guided experience rather than a self‑serve plan. The program includes:

Flexibility, Not Perfection

The menus and recipes are designed to serve as a guide, not rigid rules. You are free to combine foods from the approved list in ways that you enjoy and that make sense for your schedule and preferences. You are not asked to count or restrict calories; instead, we focus on providing the nutrients your body needs to heal and on helping you recognize what “comfortably satisfied” feels like.

Your food and symptom journal entries allow me to see how you are responding so I can guide you in determining appropriate portions and patterns for your body. Throughout the program, I adjust the approach for your age, health status, and vegan or other dietary choices to ensure that it is both physiologically sound and practical for your life.
