Restaurant Review: Panevino Ristorante Livingston,NJ

Our July Kitchen Table Wisdom group met at Panevino Ristorante in Livingston. They were willing to take a reservation so there was no wait for the table (a big plus after the long wait we had at our last restaurant).

One unpleasantry was the manager’s crankiness about having separate checks, something other restaurants have been very willing to accommodate. The waitress however was lovely and worked hard to make everyone happy.

Everyone was pleased with the menu selection. It was clearly marked with which dishes were gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan, making ordering easy and uncomplicated.

Some of the favorite dishes were:

Seared salmon, roasted parsnips, sautéed broccoli rabe

Grilled shrimp with escarole and white beans

Chop Chop Salad- Chopped grilled chicken, arugula, apple, fennel, raisins, celery, tomatoes, and citrus vinaigrette.

Gluten-free Penne Primavera with chicken

Roasted Organic Chicken with green beans (very moist chicken)

The bar offers beer, wine and sangria.

The biggest downside to the evening was the acoustics of the restaurant. It was very loud making it difficult to have a conversation with anyone who wasn’t sitting next to you. In spite of that, most said they would come back and recommend the restaurant to a friend.

As always, we had such great people to dine with, it was easy to have a great time.

Join us on the 8th as we explore a new dining treat. We’d love to see you!
